My little guy loves water: water parks, splash pads, showers, and pools. So when it was announced that Great Wolf Lodge was opening a location in Florida we had to check it out. These are my personal thoughts on Great Wolf Lodge Naples...

Pros:
WE WERE NEVER BORED. From the moment we walked into the lobby there was something to do. While parents stand in line waiting to check in children are running around playing, coloring, doing arts & crafts and/or chasing bubbles around the lobby The main focal point may be the indoor water park but there is so much more: bowling, arcade room, mini golf, climbing/play area, magi game.
THE WATER PARK IS EVERYTHING. Wading pool, lazy river, water slides, water basketball, kids splash area... No need to bring your swim vest, they had plenty in all sizes. We found a nice scenic area to sit and let Duke run wild. He screamed "this is the best water park ever" a couple times coming down the slide.
YOU WILL GET YOUR STEPS IN. With so much to do you will defeniately get some steps in. Even if you just walk around to take in the atmosphere and people watch you gonna hit your goal.
ROOM IS CUTE AND COMFY. The camping theme is cute throughout the property. The Wolf Den room was an expeirence. Sheets, pillows and bed were comfortable.
SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT IN THE MIDST OF ALL THE ACTION. Every employee I came in contact with was friendly and extra helpful. From the front desk to housekeeping to attraction staff. It seemed like everyone enjoyed being around children. No attutiudes. No bad service. (from people, ha!)
QUIET HOURS. The property was serious about the quiet hours (11p - 7a). Every night of our stay they hosted what I would call a mini camping/hollween theme concert in the lobby. AND THEY WERE ROCKING! I know the kiddos slept good every night if they didn't they sure were quiet. No late night screaming and crying on our floor the entire stay.
ATTRACTION PASSES. We decided on the #PawPass for the adults and the #WolfPass for Duke. Great add on to use during our stay: MagiQuest, Ropes Course, Arcade, Golf and candy cup.
RFID WRISTBANDS. At check-in we were given wristbands. I love the wristband concept. No room keycard to keep up with and if I forgot my purse in the room I could charge our purchases made on the property to the room.
LUGGAGE CARTS. The only thing I hate to waste more then money is MY TIME. I love the idea of the airport luggage carts to haul my stuff from the car to the room. No waiting for a bell hop and/or for a free luggage cart. They have plenty. The quicker we can drop off our bags at the room the quicker we can get to the action!

Cons:
FOOD. The food was trash and over priced. Duke wanted pizza. After one bite (that he dropped back out his mouth) he was done. I tried a slice and was not impressed either. The cheese and crust were decent but the sauce tasted like an old aluminum can. My cheese burger wasn't hitting on anything either. $50+ wasted, yes you read right. OVER FIFTY GOOD OLE UNITED STATES GREEN BACKS for 2 personal cheese pizzas, cheese burger with fries and drinks. Oh and lets get into the drink situation...
I'm noesy. I watch everything and everyone. So imagine my confusion while watching the food court staff place stickers on each individual cup. When we get our cups I look for the sticker and low and behold it's a dang on QR code! Great Wolf Lodge is not about to let us run up their fountain drink bill. Ha! Once you scan your cup at the drink machine you have 30 seconds to fill your cup and they measure the EXACT amount of ounces for the cup you scanned. *blank stare* I tried to get root beer but there wasnt anymore and only water came out. I lost over 5 ounces. When I tried to switch to lemonade I don't think I made it to 7 ounces before the machine shut off. I had to go back to the cashier to explain the situation and get another cup with a new QR code sticker.
ROOM LACKED BASIC AMENITIES. While the room was cozy it was a bit on the small side. Limited closet (cubbyhole) space and no iron or ironing board in the room. We selected the Wolf Den Suite and it was cramped with two adults and a child. I'm curious to see how 6 guests could fit.
PAID PARKING. Parking was $15 per day but thankfully in/out privileges were included. Which is needed because after that food court fiasco we ate off site.
Personal Thoughts:
I had a great time at #GreatWolfLodgeNaples and I beleive my little guy did as well. We will definately put them in our #VacationRotation for future trips. They also had the option to purchase a #DayPass, we will keep that in mind for the future. Although the weekend trip was a bit pricy overall I feel it was worth it. We will be back....
Not the QR code for drinks!!! 😱😱
